What is ETP?

Funding Potential

The potential funding is substantial. Since ETP was created in 1982, roughly $2 billion has been awarded to 100 thousand businesses, for the successful training and employment retention of 1.5 million California workers. Awards can exceed $500k!

The amount of the initial award is dependent on a number of factors including:

  • Needs analysis
  • Funding proposal development
  • Business type
  • Business challenges
  • Workforce size
  • Worker wages
  • Location of workers

Your award payments are dependent on the success of your training program. Dunton Consulting, Inc. provides ETP administration services focused on making your contract a success.

Priority Industries

The Employment Training Panel annually establishes funding priorities for the fiscal year, based on the demand of employers for trained workers and changes in the state economy and labor markets.

The Panel designates industry sectors as “Priority Industry” for purposes of a higher fixed fee reimbursement rate. Priority Industry status does not impact the application process nor does it indicate eligibility or guarantee funding

Dunton Consulting was instrumental is developing the funding proposal and project administration for our ETP award. Jason guided us through the process and helped us maximize the federal ARRA funds available to the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). We were able to provide nurses with important job skills and training with the help of this funding. Dunton Consulting was critical to the overall success of this project.
