Jason is a pleasure to work with. Before he served as an Advisor for Continuum Education, I worked with Jason on the first national assessment for children with the most significant cognitive disabilities. Jason Dunton provided consulting services (through Dunton Consulting) as the Lead Business Analyst for the Analysis Phase of the National Center and State Collaborative (NCSC) Architecture and Technology. The goal of NCSC is to apply the lessons learned from the past decade of research on alternate assessments based on alternate achievement standards (AA‐AAS) to develop a multi‐state comprehensive assessment system for students with significant cognitive disabilities. Two extended workshops were held over three weeks to capture the needs, requirements and desires of the Consortium in the design of the overall system architecture. The NCSC consortium represents 24 states, the pacific assessment consortium and the US Virgin Islands. Jason effectively collaborated with clients and stakeholders to develop and deliver the analysis phase project deliverables. Jason possesses a unique quality to filter through a myriad of ideas and opinions, often competing, ask several questions for clarity and then provide a summary and requirements for the client that meets each individual's desires. His demeanor is calming and he creates an atmosphere of trust and respect rapidly. In working with my team, Jason presented deliverables to the project stakeholders, including state representatives. As an advisor for Continuum Education, Jason adds value to company strategy and product development.
